Parents … we need your feedback

date 05 May 2009 | category ANNOUNCEMENTS

Do you want to know what your child is doing ‘on-line’ ? Are there concerns about unsavory characters contacting your child via instant messaging or chat rooms?

We are looking for parents to test a new software program and give us feedback. There are only 100 copies available. It is an extremely comprehensive monitoring tool.

This is not a come-on or ‘trick’ to get you to buy it later. In fact, just for testing & providing us feedback, you can keep the software and we will provide you lifetime updates.

Time is of the essence, however. Once the copies are distributed, that’s it.

Twitter Tip - Auto Thank You

date 26 Dec 2008 | category TWITTER Tips

Hi Y’all,

This is a good tip for everyone doing their best to make a living on-line. Makes perfect sense. We need to build relationships, provide quality content every day. When you thank someone for a ‘Twitter’ follow, or sign-up, or newsletter… JEEZ, don’t do an up sell — don’t hit them up for a ‘one time deal’ !
Give them what you promised, and let them know there’s more where that came from..then THANK THEM ! You have their opt-in, nurture it responsibly…
Here’s a short article on the subject..

Auto-Fill Blog Comments with Name/email/Site info

date 26 Dec 2008 | category HOW TO

Hi,

Getting tired of always typing in your name, email, website info when posting comments to a blog?
Me, too !!!! I’ll deal with the wizards of the class first. Those of us who use ROBOFORM (and if you don’t, you should be), you can set up a new login.. do this:
1. Find ‘Roboform’ far left, down arrow, ‘login’ ‘new’
2. Set up your passcard as ‘Blogcommentform’ or wut-evah
3. Look over to the right - I ‘add shortcut to links bar’
4. Save and you’re done !
Next time you have to fill out a blog comment, simply find ‘Blogcomment’ and do a ‘fill form only’. Then you can type your comments and submit… piece-o-cake.

Yeah, when I first saw this, my reaction was “Yeah, here comes another pitch job !”. So, what did I do? Yup, like you, I clicked on it — juuuuuust in case. Don’t want a nugget falling thru the cracks, now do we?
This title came from John Reese’s blog (via email). If you don’t know who John Reese is, then you have not been doing your guru homework. I’ve seen him at a couple of seminars. Low keyed, known for his copywriting & marketing skills. Anyhoo, take some time to read the post (You can read it here:

He is worth following on his blog & Twitter.
